Cardiology Programs & Services

  • Invasive & Interventional Cardiology

We offer cutting-edge diagnostic tests
and nonsurgical interventional treatments for patients presenting along the entire spectrum of cardiac and cardiovascular disease. For patients with coronary artery disease (CAD) who require an invasive evaluation, our physicians often perform intravascular imaging and/or flow-based physiologic evaluation to better understand what lesions require further treatment. In addition to routine percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), our doctors are comfortable with the adjunctive use of ventricular support devices when necessary and some specialize in opening vessels that are chronically occluded (CTO).

  • Implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD)

An implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD) is a small battery-powered device placed in your chest to monitor your heart rhythm and detect irregular heartbeats. An ICD can deliver electric shocks via one or more wires connected to your heart to fix an abnormal heart rhythm.
You might need an ICD if you have a dangerously fast heartbeat (ventricular tachycardia) or a chaotic heartbeat that keeps your heart from supplying enough blood to the rest of your body (ventricular fibrillation). Ventricles are the lower chambers of your heart.
ICDs detect and stop abnormal heartbeats (arrhythmias). The device continuously monitors your heartbeat and delivers electrical pulses to restore a normal heart rhythm when necessary. An ICD differs from a pacemaker — another implantable device used to help control abnormal heart rhythms.

  • Cardiovascular Imaging

We the most advanced technology available to capture images of the heart. These various techniques allow physicians to make accurate diagnoses and determine the best treatment for each patient. They also offer better patient safety during treatments. Our specialists determine the most appropriate way to image or study the structure and function of the heart in order to diagnose many types of heart disease. They are also experts in the treatment and long-term management of many types of heart conditions.
Obtaining and interpreting images of the heart are critical to the successful management of any cardiac disorder.

  • Pacemaker

A pacemaker is a small device that’s placed under the skin in your chest to help control your heartbeat. It’s used to help your heart beat more regularly if you have an irregular heartbeat (arrhythmia), particularly a slow one. Implanting a pacemaker in your chest requires a surgical procedure.

  • Cardiac Electrophysiology & Pacing

We offer a variety of highly specialized approaches to heart-rhythm problems. The procedures may be used to diagnose a heart problem or to treat it. Arrhythmia treatment depends on the type and severity of the arrhythmia. In some cases
of arrhythmia, no treatment is necessary.
